‘Go, I will go Lord Send Me. To the World. To the Lost. To the Poor & hungry. Take everything I am. I’m clay within Your hands…I will go. Send me.’
I remember their faces. The students. That summer. It was all quite full and sincere and this they are. And they are the future of this nation. And we all cheer and pray and plead and prepare them for the days of rising.
And they do. And then they don’t. Some wander far from God where they remain and we lay our hearts open before Heaven and wait for them to come Home.
Many do, though, they go. They go and get married to ones who love Jesus too. And they begin families and there is a wonderful way of going that is just like this. Others move to other countries for internships and stay. Others work all around this country with God in the hearts and the strength to shine brilliant.
Some stay and join us. Become our co-workers. And we smile because it’s like the babies and kids we have born. They hit this soft spot deep inside with the testimony of their hearts that burn hard and full for a God we remember when they met Him.
And there’s a going that is chasing us all. There’s a world beyond here and I see the sparks flying and I pray that they fan to flame. I look forward to what is to come.
