31 Days Button

Thank you for visiting Fan the Flame!

I’m humbly treading the hallowed ground of the Heart of God for the 31 days of October.  First we look deep into the Beauty of His heart, shown through God the Father and His Son Jesus, then, we peer into the fragile and yet powerful role of our own hearts as we seek His and learn to live it in this world.  To read the entire series go {here} 31 Days to His Heart.

May YOU be blessed with a touch of Him TODAY…He who desires and is Fully Worthy of ALL of our hearts!

Before we begin, let’s bask in the sunlight and warmth of His heart alone crowned by infinite grace…

Exodus 34:6
The LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness,

Nehemiah 9:17
They refused to obey and were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them.

Psalm 86:15
But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

Psalm 103:8
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

Psalm 145:8
The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.

Joel 2:13
and rend your hearts and not your garments."Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster.

Calling to our hearts, over and over again, to the tender raw places of our brokenness, this promise of WHO our God isFull of Everlasting Love, Holy and Pure, Good, Merciful and crowned with GraceIt is the white hot whisper of His heart, reminding us of His affection. of His Grace.

Grace is favor.  And even as I type this, I hesitate.  If I have a core struggle with doubt in the Heart of God, it is here.

Whom am I to receive His favor?  To be blessed continually by the Sunshine of His Love.  I am really nothing BUT the object of His affection which makes me everything to Him.

And this Crown of Grace upon His heart is there as though to beckon. ‘Beloved, You cannot come to My heart unless you receive its overflowing Grace.’ and He just keeps giving and giving and giving and the favor is not going to go away for all of Eternity and it comes from all of Eternity…

There is no getting away from His Grace if I want to come to His heart.

And that’s the point, isn’t it?  That to be in His heart is to be in Grace.  The Crowning Beauty of beholding such a heart is Grace, Grace, Grace as only HE can give…this, oh this.  this matchless Heart of God.

Praying His Heart

Thank You for You.  For Your Beauty, Your Grace.  You crown Yourself with Grace…bestowed to me. to us.  And everywhere we go in Your love letter to us, there it is, the reminder of this favor that abounds from the heart of God.  Oh, for open eyes to behold, perked ears to hear, tickling nose to smell, trembling hands to touch and gaping mouth to drink in this fountain of Your Grace.  In Your Grace, grant Your Grace.  You are AMAZING and we love you because in Your Grace You have first loved us.  Amen.
