31 Days to His Heart :: Half-way to His Heart OR Have We Only Just Begun??

31 Days Button

Thank you for visiting Fan the Flame!

I’m humbly treading the hallowed ground of the Heart of God for the 31 days of October.  First we look deep into the Beauty of His heart, shown through God the Father and His Son Jesus, then, we peer into the fragile and yet powerful role of our own hearts as we seek His and learn to live it in this world.  To read the entire series go{here} 31 Days to His Heart.

May YOU be blessed with a touch of Him TODAY…He who desires and is Fully Worthy of ALL of our hearts!

Part of me can not believe we are at the half-way point and yet, another part of me can.  We’ve contemplated, looking fully and deeply, at the everlasting love, holiness, relationship-driven, merciful, and gracious Heart of God that is active in all that is good.  And then we’ve looked at how Jesus reveals His heart, bringing His holiness near, overwhelming us with the goodness of God and unleashing this heart of compassion that wraps us right up in His infinite Grace.

And I want you to know that it has not been easy for me to STAY focused on Him…to extol and magnify all that His heart is.

Not because it isn’t beautiful or I don’t desire to know His heart, BUT because my heart so very easily takes me away from entering His.

So, it has been good for me to spend this first half of the 31 days FOCUSED ON HIM!  It is an incredibly worthwhile discipline and if you’ve followed along thus far, I hope, trust, pray it is the same for you.

I think this world mirrored in MY heart is so very starved for Glory.  It is a narcissistic, me, me, me planet.  Our thoughts, preoccupations, energy, are drawn to us like the magnetic pull of fallen~ness with its invisible g-forces working for our implosion.

And so, every moment spent seeking, contemplating, knowing the wonders of God, namely His heart, is our most powerful weapons against the powers and principalities of this dark, dark world.

But, I do believe it’s good for us to take the next few days here to look at the truth of our own hearts.

We won’t trust awareness of our ‘heart realities’ to our own perceptions but to what the Revelation of the God who made us in His own image and yet knows ‘we are dust’ has to say about us. our hearts. For, we can trust the vision of the One who has set a course to redeem us from the pit that is a world gone wrong and our weak, diseased-in-our-flesh hearts right with it.

So friends, we’ll be spending the next few days taking some deep looks at our hearts NOT for the purpose of dwelling on our frailty BUT for the opportunities to press deeper into the altogether LOVELINESS of His Amazing Heart.

I’m trusting Him to bless us as we continue to journey further, deeper, into this central theme of our lives—finding our way Home. to Him. to His Heart.  Our Eternal Destiny.

Praying His Heart

Lord, Grant us all, myself the most, humble hearts to see ourselves in what our hearts are without your touch and also what You intend us to be as our hearts become Yours.  We need You to lead us, guide us, protect us and encourage us as we journey and we know You won’t disappoint!

Thank You for all You’re going to do in the days ahead!  You are our God and we love you!
